Margot Frankel's work represents nature as never seen before. Working with natural materials — bark, twigs, seeds — she makes the invisible visible, breaking boundaries with the viewer's relationship to nature and its rhythms. Abstract compositions and photography celebrate and explore the significance of trees as witnesses to our civilization and the passage of time, our disconnect from nature, environmental change and renewal. The tones, textures, depth and density of her materials are intimately examined and woven together.
